Return to TEC Room
High Definition (HD) TEC Rooms are equipped with one of the following options:
The following features are available based on the type of room you are using.
The ability to use digital devices as inputs to the system, including blue ray, DVD, computers with display port, dvi and HDMI outputs, rather than only VGA.
The ability to use the projector from a laptop or media device without first logging into a computer.
When the projector experienced a failure, the ability to attach a new projector (crash cart) to the podium so that other components continue to operate as before rather than having to use that standalone crash cart.
One or more of the following:
At the podium computer, to have a wide screen monitor set to a resolution closer to the user's desktop and laptop experience rather than the small 15" 4x3 format monitor.
The ability for the display to span multiple monitors instead of cloning a single monitor. Allowing presenter view in PowerPoint, etc.
No dependence on Podium PC for projector control as this was a common point of failure.
The ability for existing sound reinforcement systems in TEC rooms to feed back into the computer so that it can be used for audio recording/video conferencing.
The Touch Panel Media Controller, the interface through which all room functions are run, is user-friendly and simplifies functions so that unfamiliar users can understand how to use it. TEC Rooms also have the same interface and software available, so you will feel comfortable in any room.
In addition to the Base Configuration, HD TEC Rooms may have any of the following optional components.
