The automatic configuration works best when setting up new profiles.

Automatically Configure the profile in Outlook
Sometimes emails will not sync after configuration even if Outlook says all folders are up to date. A quick fix is to click the "Send/Receive all Folders" button located at the top-left corner of Outlook. Doing so will force the synchronization of the Outlook profile.
If you are deleting a profile, Archived files will no longer show up when you reconfigure the profile, but they will still be saved wherever the files were saved at originally. (If you can't find them, search your computer for "*.pst" to find all .pst files on your computer. This will show you the location. In Outlook, once the profile has been created, go to File > Open & Export > Open Outlook Data File, and find the .pst file. The archived emails should now show up on the left side as another folder next to your inbox.
