The Office of Information Technology installs paging systems for departments and organizations. One type of paging system is built on a telephone interface that allows staff to broadcast announcements to other telephones in predefined zones through dialing numbers. Another type of system is based on a set of push-to-talk microphones, which are heard by speakers in designated zones. Paging systems that incorporate both elements are also available.
