Most campus departments use OIT’s Email Service for their email needs. For a number of reasons, others choose to manage their own email system. Email Monitoring and Spam Filtering provide management and monitoring utilities for email systems through the CanIt email filter. OIT will provide gateway services to email system administrators who want to use the gateways managed by OIT.
CanIt is the current filtering tool used by OIT. CanIt allows CSRs and Service Desk Agents to view email queues and release emails being incorrectly filtered. In the event of missing emails or other filtering related issues, customers can work with either their CSR's or the Service Desk to meet their specific needs.
