Equipment Surplus is BYU's procedure for recycling unneeded electronic equipment. This equipment is then refurbished, data sanitized and equipment made available for purchase through Equipment Surplus sales held every 30-60 days.

BYU announces when a surplus takes place. Watch for the email announcements. To have BYU pick up your surplus equipment, please use the Order | Modify menu located at the top of this page.
Surplus equipment may also be purchased by departments by calling 801-422-4386.
Departments cannot sell surplus equipment directly to employees. For questions regarding surplus purchasing, refer to http://surplus.byu.edu.

There is no charge for surplus pick-up, but prices for equipment differ for each sale.
