The Open Access Kiosks allow users to utilize the latest common computer applications at convenient locations. Users can browse the Internet, do word processing, work with spreadsheets, create presentations, create Web pages, save files on a BYU network server and perform other functions. Use of this product is restricted to a time limit. Some locations will have printing capabilities.
For a list of locations, see the Open Access Kiosk Locations page.
Kiosks are now found in many places around campus. Only current daytime students, faculty, and full-time employees with myBYU login and passwords are able to use these computers. The Help Center contains an article with brief instructions on using a kiosk.
A mobile app is available for Androids and Apple devices which display all Open Access Kiosks locations on campus. Instructions to access and use the mobile app are available at the bottom of this page.
There is no charge for use of this service.
Note: Printing from labs does have a cost as set by Print and Mail Services. You may contact them at 801 422-8255 for current pricing.
