Return to Microsoft Office Suite / Office 365
Office 365, as well as OneDrive storage, is available to students and university employees at no cost to them. Microsoft Office will be available to download and install on their personal computer through https://office.byu.edu. University employees should download Microsoft Office through software distribution. The files will come directly from Microsoft. The software will only continue to work while they are a current student or employee. Once their active role is gone, the software becomes read only and all files stored in OneDrive will be deleted and inaccessible.
1. Go to office.byu.edu
|2. Enter your Net ID and password.|
|3. Click on the grid of white dots in the upper left hand corner.|
|4. Click Office 365|
|5. Click the Install Office drop-down, then select Office 365 apps for a typical download|
|6. Office will begin downloading. Select the download when it is finished.|
7. Allow the content to install
8. Open an Office 365 Application
9. Click "Sign in for more features", Or go to File and click Account > Sign In
10. Login using your <NetID>@byu.edu
11.Windows Only: Login to the BYU Domain
|12. Click "Remember my credentials"|
After these steps, follow any additional prompts or installation steps that come up. Office 365 will now be installed on the computer.
