SOASoft and API Key will be retired on April 30, 2017. If you are currently consuming BYU APIs or Events, it is essential that you migrate to the new API Manager and begin using OAuth 2.0 for authentication. This process requires that you do the following:
Unless you complete the above steps prior to April 30, 2017, you will no longer have access to BYU APIs or Events. The decision to migrate to the new API Manager and OAuth 2.0 was made after long consideration, and for the long-term benefit of BYU API producers and consumers.
We realize migration is inconvenient, but we are confident that the new environment will be of benefit to our campus community now and into the future.

BYU Office of Information Technology
BYU Web Services are interfaces to BYU systems that provide university data to be consumed by other applications. The Web Services Registry is the repository for BYU Web Services available to System Administrators and BYU Developers to:
The registry provides a way for developers to learn what web services are currently available at BYU and to consume data from those web services.
Retiring 5/1/2017: SOASoft and API Key soaregistry.byu.edu.
API Manager and OAuth 2.0: developer.byu.edu
Consumers of Web Services
Any active patron of BYU can use their Net ID to log in to the API Manager and OAuth tool and view all available web services. Active patrons can also directly consume information from web services. The data that is available from the web service will be identical to the data the patron could access through other methods - such as through a web application.
If a patron wishes to write an application that requires data that is different than the data to which they are personally entitled, then the patron must request expanded authorizations. Contact the OIT Service Desk at 801-422-4000 to initiate the request for different rights.
Providers of Web Services
System administrators that wish to provide web services to others on campus may contact one of our web service publishers via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
There is no charge for use of this service.
