The Office of IT performs a scan of all connected devices on the BYU Wired Network once every month. The scan identifies known vulnerabilities that could lead to a compromised operating system on your machine. OIT will contact the owners of machines that have been identified as having a possible vulnerability and recommend solutions to resolve the vulnerability.
These scans do not identify viruses or malware; only the ways the virus and malware may compromise a machine. Users must still run virus and malware applications to protect their machines.
Note: This service is intended for BYU Wired Network devices ONLY. Devices that are connected on the BYU Wireless Network are not included.
