This service allows OIT to track and associate incidents related to the limited support we offer for personal and campus printers. OIT transferred ownership of Campus Printers to BYU Print and Mail services including all support, costs, configuration, maintenance and any other printer related issues.
The OIT Service Desk (2-4000) may assist with very basic support (including installing drivers, etc.) but will refer the majority of issues to BYU Print and Mail services for campus printer related issues. You may contact Print and Mail services directly by calling (801) 422-8255. For issue with Print Jobs, call (801) 422-1469.
For personal printers, the OIT Service desk will provide limited support based on our experience and then refer users to vendor specific support resources.
Campus printers are reliant on a backend service provided by OIT using the Pharos Printer Management tools. Pharos enables print queue management, billing, and print jobs. Please see our Pharos Server page for more information.
There is no cost for this service.
