Box is available for All Current University Students and Employees. We cannot give people that retired before Jan 22, 2018 (When Box was rolled out to Campus) a BYU Box Account. This means that they should have access the day after they are registered in BYU's system. After a student or employee leaves the university for any reason, they may maintain access to their Box account. After leaving, their account will be managed by Box, and will no longer have any relation to the university. Their account will continue to be free, but will be limited to 50 GB of storage unless they begin paying for the service. Generic Department accounts do not get Box accounts privilege.
An active BYU Box account will allow users access to the following features:
Our Box environment is FERPA, PII, and HIPAA compliant.
Box is free for all university affiliated students and employees. See introduction for more details.
