A variety of multimedia is available for students to rent for personal and scholastic use. Students can rent anything from projectors to Blu-ray players. To rent multimedia, call the OIT Service Desk at 801-422-4000, or go to the Information Technology Building (on Canyon Rd. across from Helaman Halls). Multimedia Repair is a campus service for church-owned equipment used for both academic and non-academic functions. Equipment and personnel can be provided to support campus events requiring audio reinforcement, video support and artistic lighting. Events are defined as those that require two or more microphones. See the Audio/Visual Event Productions page for further details.
OIT provides technology directly in classrooms. These classrooms, classified as either TEC Rooms, Multimedia Cabinets, or Custom Multimedia Rooms, include computer or computer hook ups; CD, DVD, and VCR players; projector, speakers, and other technology. These services help enrich the classroom experience for faculty, employees, and students. The Media Center is located in the south wing on the fourth flour of the Harold B. Lee Library. Multimedia equipment resources available in the Media Center include video viewing systems, viewing rooms, computer lab, laptop rental, and others. Visit the Media Center website for more information.
