IRAMS, or the Internship Registration and Management System, is a service that allows students to apply for the opportunity to take a BYU class for internship credit. The system asks students about their internship, including where it is, the company contact, and a short description of what internship duties the student will have. All of this information is forwarded to the Internship Coordinator for the student’s respective department, who approves the internship. Once the internship is approved, the student can register for the class on MyMAP.
IRAMS also hosts all of the Master Agreements that Internship Providers have signed with the university. If students want to see if their Internship Provider has already been approved by BYU, they can search for company names in an online database and view contacts within the company.
