BYU's Office of Information Technology offers a broad range of solutions to keep our campus connected. We provide the following core network experiences as well as a number of specific solutions to enable this:
Wireless connectivity is available throughout many locations across campus.
Connecting students, faculty, admin and guests alike, wired connections are located throughout campus buildings.
The Virtual Private Network (VPN) is required to access protected campus resources from either on or off campus. A client program on the user's machine creates an encrypted connection to the accessed area of the BYU network. Previously the Cisco VPN Client was used, but has since switched to the newer Cisco Anyconnect VPN Client program.
See the specific pages as noted above for the type of connection you would like to use for help in connecting.
There is no charge for use of existing wired or wireless network options.
For new connections, modifications, or specific non-standard network needs there may be charges associated to configuring those options. Please see the specific pages for the type of network connection you are looking for to obtain pricing information.
