High-End or Custom Printing
Our focus with Open Access Printing is on ubiquitous, inexpensive printing. Work with the Print and Mail Production Center if you need something printed on special paper, with special binding, or in high-quality color. You can find them online at http://cougarprints.byu.edu or at http://printandmail.byu.edu.
We plan to offer page packs to allow you to buy your prints in bulk and save even more. We are still working out the logistics of that new offering. We are also looking at ways to allow you to print to department accounts with your personal card when you are authorized to do so.
To download a print driver, visit the Open Access Print Driver (Pharos) page. Be sure to select the correct driver for your operating system in order for the driver to work. Select download and follow the installation instructions. Now you will have BYU Public B&W and BYU Public Color printers available in your print dialogue box when you select to print.
For additional details as well as printer locations, search the Help Center for related documents.
Note: You must have a connection to the Internet to send documents to campus.
Note: Department and courtesy card users must enter the 9-digit number on their card when sending print jobs. Some department cards start with zeros. For example, if a department card says 000123456 01, the user should enter all the numbers except for the two-digit issue number at the end. Some courtesy cards do not have zeros or a two-digit issue number.
